OUR MISSION: Advancing equity for women and girls through research, advocacy, training and Networking.

To Promote Entrepreneurial Skills amongst Women

Our History

The Rural Women Empowerment Network (RUWONET) is a women’s rights organization in Uganda founded in 2010 to enhance the status and visibility of women and Girls to fight for Climate Justice and Women’s Health. RUWONET is a registered NGO under the provisions of the Non-governmental Organizations Act Cap.113 laws of Uganda. The organization was incorporated in Kampala, Uganda. Since 2010, RUWONET has invested in addressing issues affecting women’s Health, Climate Justice, and economic self-sufficiency.
